The course uses a mixture of taught sessions, discussions and practical exercises to achieve its aims. The practical exercises are based upon a fictional company. However, the procedures, work instructions and data are typical and could relate to many different enterprises equally. The practical exercises have been carefully designed to focus upon issues that commonly arise during EMS audits.

 

Whom the course is for

ISO 14001

Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 14001 and commonly used environmental management terms and definitions, which can be acquired by completing an ISO 14001:2026 Foundation (EMS) (FD135) training course certified by CQI and IRCA or equivalent. Work experience in the field of environmental management can be considered

Management System Audit

Knowledge of management systems auditing is required through satisfactory completion of a CQI and IRCA certified Lead Auditor training course (or the equivalent alternative) in another discipline.

Knowledge of report writing is desirable.
